Moon Cycle Spread
Hi there lovelies
I want to share with you one of my favourite card spreads.
It’s my Moon Cycle Spread.
This one I love to use around the time of a new moon, as it perfectly readies me for a new cycle.
It delves into the energies of a complete moon cycle, with the main focus being intention and manifestation. But it dives into all sorts of juice stuff.
Amongst other things, you will explore how to harvest the energy to manifest your intention, what to let go of and how to nurture yourself, it dives into how you can continually keep your intentions clear and focused. Oh, and there's a message from the Moon Goddess as well. Because when don’t we need that?!
Sounds good?
Alright, let's take a look at each position in the spread:
New moon (1) What intention will best benefit me during this moon cycle?
The card in this position looks at what intention would serve you, it’s meant to show you what you can make a top priority or keep in the back of your mind during the full cycle.I like to view it as an anchor, something that keeps me focused.
Waxing crescent (2) What impact will this intention have on my life?
This will show you how the intention from the first card can influence your life. In what area does it show or change something. Where and how can you expect to see its outcome. It really dives into the “why” of the intention and shows you the reason why keeping the intention will benefit you.
First quarter (3) What step/s can I take to help manifest my intention?
I always think it's a good thing to get some grounding into a reading, and the card in this position does this particularly well, because it looks at what you can do on a more practical level. It really gives you extra strength because it shows what you can do.
Waxing gibbous (4) How can I continually keep my intention clear?
This one I find a bit difficult to explain and I’ve considered many times to change it. but the thing is, whenever i do this spread, the card in this position always makes so much sense. It shows me how I can keep the intention in my mind, how I can make sure it does not get mixed up or muddied down by other things or worries.
Full Moon (5) Where can I find the energy to manifest my intention?
Ah, and then we arrive at the full moon! This position shows you where you can harvest more energy, where you can look to in order to gain extra power to manifest whatever your intention is. It’s supposed to show you the well from where you can gather your water!
Waning gibbous (6) What signs can I look for to see my intentions are manifesting
Sometimes when there's something we are trying to manifest, we lose hope that it will ever happen. In most cases however, there are signs in both your inner and outer environment that show you that you are making progress. This card reveals to you some of the signs you can look for in order to see that the manifestation is working.
Third quarter (7) What do I need to let go of during this cycle?
In order to gain something new more often than not we need to let go of something to make room. Here we look into what you will benefit from letting go of, something that you no longer need and therefore something that is okay to say goodbye to.
Waning crescent (8) How can I nurture and take care of myself during this cycle?
You cannot pour from an empty cup. As right about now many of us have realised how important it is to take care of ourselves and make sure that we ourselves are filled with energy so that we have something to share from. And this is the meaning of this card. To show you an area or way that you can take care of yourself and fill up your own cup.
Moon Goddess (9) Message from the Moon Goddess
Often I incorporate some way for spirit to communicate with me “directly”. This message of cause is founded in the entirety of the spread but it goes further than that. It gives room for the Moon Goddess (whatever that means to you) to come through and deliver a message to you. Keep an open mind and listen to the guidance!
Alright, so there you have it Loves. I hope you'll find as much joy and wisdom as I have found using the spread.
